"Huddle" is a concept of a web service designed for LGBTQ+ university students with the aim to encourage inclusivity in university related activities and help create safer spaces for queer university students. Huddle was produced based on qualitative data gathered through interviews and developed in a team of three as a part of a university UX design course during fall 2021.

With the web service, "Huddle", we aimed to bring together different service providers (e.g., companies, associations, university clubs) and LGBTQ+ users committed to safe space practices. We also aim to utilize grass root level activity and knowledge of the community to scope out the service providers and venues listed on the website. In practice, this means users can suggest companies/events that meet the safe space criteria visible on the suggestions/recommendation portion of the site as well as giving reviews on the ones already listed. Our value proposition in this project is that with our website, LGBTQ+ university students would have a comprehensive summary of queer friendly activities in the area. This would minimize the effort required of the users to find activities that fit the criteria of their needs, and therefore make it easier for them to attend.

My main responsibility was overall service design and prototyping. Project management was conducted as a team effort. The mock up of the web service received praise for great visuals, usability, and originality.
